Courage

Courage may seem like a precious commodity these days.  Where do you see it?  Where can it be found?  Yesterday, I was given the opportunity to witness courage on a scale I've never seen before.   50 students from the PPZ fitness class, during a grueling FGB workout that tests strength, cardio, and will power put on a demonstration of courage that left me speachless....and literally brought a tear to my eye.  This group of young athletes worked as hard as I've seen any group of athletes work under conditions that can be downright intimidating......not one of them quit, not one of them gave up, not one of them let themselves off the hook.  Each athlete achieved a new performance standard that they've never seen before, one that was built on a foundation of two months of dedication to hard work.  To say I am proud of these students would be an understatement.  Courage exists, it is there, and I was lucky enough to be a witness.
