Thank goodness Team Canada won; I don't know what Vancouverites would have done. What they did do was congregate and parade down 25 blocks along Robson Square right to BC Place; lots of cars honking, zillions of flag bearing supporters, including skateboarders and rollerbladers. The Nike store already had the gold medal shirts for sale by the end of the game; the lineups were crazy so kids amused themselves by playing in the 'puck playground' in the store. Even a road hockey game broke out on the street during the parade! What a great time to be in Vancouver!
