From the Opening Ceremonies to Alexandre Bilodeau winning Canada's first gold on home soil, the excitement has been top notch here in Whistler. There are concerts and medal ceremonies every night now within the Whistler Village. Even during the day, there are multiple TV stations where they are showing live coverage of the games. There have also been performances by entertainers to help boost the Olympic energy in Whistler! And just recently, Canada has won it's second gold medal! In snowboard cross, Maelle Ricker fought the odds and came out first across the finish line. Snowboard cross is a fairly new Olympic event in which 4 snowboarders race down a track at the same time. Hopefully everyone is as excited as I am for our Canadian athletes; even my mom won the Podium Crew Gold Medal today and received her flowers (I had her camera today so she couldn't get a photo at the Biathlon venue) Go Canada Go!
Oh how I wish I was there Caray, Carol and Jan.It sounds as if you are having a experience of a life time. The Olympics have been fantastic to watch and WE have 6 medals!!!GO CANADA GO!!!
It is great to read your blog.
