The 4th was the official opening of the Olympic Village so athletes from countries have been pouring in. For the past 2days I've been moving and carrying luggage to the shuttle buses which brings the bags to their residents. Yesterday, I was also in charge of handing out keys to the biathletes so they can store their rifles. I've seen a lot of athletes and coaches from lots of countries even though I have no idea who they are. Countries that I have seen/helped include: Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Brazil, USA, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Argentina, Turkey, Greece, New Zealand, Swiss, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Slovakia, Peru, Spain, Estonia, Mongolia, Korea, and of course CANADA!!
Today was the first day that the Canada House in Whistler Village was open to the public. Several countries will have "houses" to host other countries and share their culture. Many torchbearers were there so other people could get their pictures taken with them. There was also face-painting, free coffee, orange juice and cake!
