Congratulations to Mike Linley who has been appointed the
Captain of the CASS Huskies Hockey team for this season. At the age of 16
years, 9 months, Mike becomes the youngest captain in the teams modern day
history. His leadership skills on and off the ice will definitely help the team
achieve success this season. Also joining Linley as Alternate Captains are
Denver MacFarlane who will be the voice of the defensemen with his three years
of experience and Seth Campbell and Brent Hurley who proved last season and
into the start of this year that they have what it takes to lead the Huskies.
Congratulations boys!
This past Tuesday CASS Student Council entered a christmas tree into the Lung Association's Festival of Trees for our second year in a row. Last year we used pop corn and cranberry strings to give our tree a homey feel. This year we went with Red and Gold Ornaments that had been signed with sharpies by a large percent of the school population. It was finished on the 17th to be judged from the 19th until the 22nd. This is a great event for a great cause and we are proud to support it. Special thanks; to Josh Hatherly, Courtney Vaughn, Rebecca Gjos, and The Biggar Family.
Thanks Alex
On the 11th of November; students, teachers, legion members and many other people took time out of their day to remember everything that has been done for us. CASS' ceremony was incredible and expressed a large variety of both talent and respect from all. Special thanks are to Mrs. Biggar, Mr. Bingham, Cory Gigure, Ms. Orlando, Ms. Strom, Drama club, Dance squad, Mike Macdonald, Kyle King and of course our honorary guests, the legion members for their presence.
This past Friday numerous CASS students rocked the house off, while others danced to crazy light schemes. Cass Cafe was a wild success with over 250 students attending and numerous different acts. Thanks have to go out to all of those who helped oubackstage and with all aspects but especially to Mr. Bingham and Cam Nickolson who both stayed after school and helped clean up. The next Cass Cafe is going to be near christmas time so get your acts ready.
